Mike Wood, the MP for Dudley South, has launched his Halloween Safety Cards ahead of this year’s celebrations.

The cards allow people to either welcome Trick-or-Treaters to their doors or say that they don’t want to be disturbed.

Mike is hoping to ensure those who are most vulnerable around this time of year aren’t disturbed or made to feel uncomfortable.

He is also encouraging Trick-or-Treaters to stay safe when out knocking doors in the dark.

The cards contain useful contact numbers, including Dudley Council, the emergency services and the RSPCA, as well as some useful tips for being considerate to others and safety-conscious.

Residents can get hold of the cards from community centres, libraries and GP surgeries across Dudley South or they can go to www.mikewood.mp/halloween2019 to download the pdf file. Alternatively, residents can call Mike’s office on 01384 913123.

Mike Wood said: “Halloween can be a lot of fun – particularly for children – but for many people, and in particular vulnerable groups, it can be really frightening.

“This is why I have produced these Halloween Safety Cards to ensure those vulnerable groups have the opportunity to show they do not wish to be disturbed.”
