Local MP Opens New Costa Coffee in Kingswinford

Dudley South MP, Mike Wood, opened the brand new Costa Coffee drive-thru in Kingswinford last week and store manager Kirsty Pearce deemed it one of the company’s busiest openings.

The first morning of trading was especially busy due to the company’s promise to give away free reusable cups to their first 200 customers.

One gentleman was keen enough to be Costa’s first ‘walk-in’ and ‘drive-thru’ customer when the store opened at 5.30am on Thursday morning!

The opening of this new Kingswinford store comes as part of Costa’s national push to open more drive-thru stores across the country over the next few years.

Speaking of the opening last Thursday morning, Mike Wood said, “It was a fantastic morning and I’m very pleased to have been involved in welcoming another popular business into our community”

“It was great to see the work Costa are putting in to encourage their customers to use reusable cups.”

“I think it’s brilliant that Costa are offering a scheme to recycle disposable cups – both their own cups and those of their competitors – to ensure they are not dumped in landfill sites or end up in our oceans.”
